class.upload.php is a powerful and mature PHP class to manage uploaded files, and manipulate images in many ways. The script is available under a GPL license.

Make sure that your system can detect MIME types properly, or that your browser sends the right MIME type. Note that I am not supporting the use of the class on Windows systems.
